This opportunity seeks a licensed Occupational Therapist to support K-12 students in a school setting located in Portales, NM. This contract position spans the current school year and offers a structured 37.5-hour workweek across five days. The therapist will play a vital role in enhancing student participation and success by providing direct therapeutic services tailored to individual needs.

Key Responsibilities:

• Evaluate and develop treatment plans for students with diverse occupational therapy needs.
• Collaborate with educators, parents, and other professionals to integrate therapy goals within the educational environment.
• Monitor and document student progress, adjusting interventions as necessary.
• Provide consultative support to school staff regarding student accommodations and adaptive strategies.
• Maintain compliance with state certification and educational policies.

Qualifications:

• Valid NM Occupational Therapist certification is required.
• Experience working in school-based occupational therapy, preferably with K-12 age groups, is highly desirable.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills to engage effectively with students, families, and interdisciplinary teams.
• Ability to adhere to schedules and documentation requirements within a school calendar year contract.
