Step into a fulfilling contract role as an Occupational Therapist serving students from kindergarten through age 22 in the Shelton, WA area, close to Olympia. You'll make a meaningful difference by supporting student success and independence across a diverse caseload. Key Qualifications:
- Current Washington Occupational Therapist (OT) license
- ESA (Educational Staff Associate) certification required
- Previous experience in school-based OT strongly preferred
- Background in supporting students with a range of physical, sensory, or developmental needs
- Strong communication and collaboration skills with multidisciplinary teams
- Ability to engage and adapt solutions for students from K-22 years old
Responsibilities:
- Conduct assessments to identify student needs related to motor skills, sensory processing, self-care, and participation in school activities
- Develop and implement evidence-based interventions and individualized therapy plans
- Collaborate regularly with teachers, families, and related service providers
- Support the development of Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) through progress monitoring, documentation, and goal setting
- Provide direct therapy services, consultation, and training for school staff
- Encourage and foster independence and participation in daily routines for all assigned students
