Job Description

A part-time Occupational Therapist is needed to support a K-12 school district in Oakland, CA. This position involves working on-site two days per week to deliver specialized therapy services tailored to school-aged children. The role focuses on addressing the developmental, physical, and sensory needs of students to enhance their participation and success in the school environment.

Responsibilities include:

  • Conducting evaluations and assessments to identify student needs
  • Developing and implementing individualized occupational therapy treatment plans
  • Collaborating with teachers, parents, and other school staff to facilitate student progress
  • Documenting therapy sessions and maintaining compliance with all regulations
  • Providing consultation and training to school personnel regarding student accommodations and adaptive techniques

Qualifications:

  • Licensed Occupational Therapist with credentials valid for school-based therapy
  • Experience working in a K-12 educational setting preferred
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills for working with multidisciplinary teams
  • Ability to manage time effectively and maintain accurate records
  • Knowledge of current therapeutic practices and educational regulations
