Job Description

Make an impact by supporting students success in a dynamic educational environment as a school-based Occupational Therapist. This contract opportunity is ideal for professionals passionate about empowering K-12 students with diverse needs. The assignment spans multiple campuses, offering variety in your daily routine while giving you the chance to work with students facing a range of disabilities, including emotional disturbance, autism spectrum disorder, attention deficit/hyperactivity disorder, oppositional defiant disorder, and learning disabilities.

Responsibilities:

  • Deliver occupational therapy services to students in both individual and group formats.
  • Evaluate students needs and develop targeted treatment plans tailored to each childs functional goals.
  • Collaborate closely with teachers, support staff, and families to optimize educational access and participation.
  • Maintain accurate records, document progress, and participate in IEP meetings.
  • Adapt therapy strategies based on student progress and changing needs across elementary, middle, and high schools.

Qualifications:

  • Current, valid Occupational Therapist licensure in Connecticut (CT OT required).
  • Experience in a school setting preferred; willingness to work with a diverse K-12 population essential.
  • Solid understanding of pediatric diagnoses such as ED, ASD, ADHD, ODD, and LD.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills.

Position Details:

  • Full-time contract role with immediate start through June 7, 2027.
  • Varied caseload averaging 15-35 students, split between different campuses serving a wide age range.
