Job Description
A full-time Occupational Therapist opportunity is available in a school setting located in Newark, DE. This contract position offers a 37.5-hour workweek from August 25, 2026, to November 13, 2026, providing meaningful support to students by enhancing their functional abilities in an educational environment.
Key responsibilities include:
- Assessing students needs and developing individual occupational therapy treatment plans
- Implementing therapeutic interventions to support student participation and success in school activities
- Collaborating with educators, parents, and other professionals to facilitate student progress
- Documenting and maintaining accurate records in compliance with state and district guidelines
- Providing resources and training to staff to integrate therapeutic techniques within classroom settings
Qualifications and experience:
- Valid Delaware license as an Occupational Therapist
- Previous experience working as an OT in schools preferred
- Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams
