Part-Time Occupational Therapist School-Based Services
Location: Naperville, IL (serving North Chicago/Waukegan Campuses, Lake County)
Contract Position Approximately 20 hours per week (2 to 3 days weekly)
This part-time role supports school-based occupational therapy services across two to three campuses in the North Chicago and Waukegan area. The position requires oversight and provision of occupational therapy assessment and intervention within a school setting to promote students functional participation and academic success.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver occupational therapy services aligned with individualized education programs (IEPs) in a school environment
- Conduct evaluations, develop treatment plans, and implement therapeutic interventions
- Collaborate with educators, families, and interdisciplinary teams to support student development
- Manage caseload and document progress in compliance with regulatory and organizational standards
Qualifications and Experience:
- Masters degree in Occupational Therapy or related field from an accredited institution
- Minimum of three years of occupational therapy experience, including at least three years working within school settings
- Valid state license to practice as an occupational therapist and current registration with the Illinois Department of Financial Professional Regulations (IDFPR)
- Strong knowledge of school-based therapy practices and special education regulations
