Desired Qualifications & Experience:

• Active New Mexico Occupational Therapist license
• Solid knowledge of school-based OT practices, assessments, and individualized education program (IEP) development
• Familiarity with diverse student populations and a range of physical, developmental, or sensory needs
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills for working with students, families, and educators
• Ability to work both independently and collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams
• Experience in pediatric or school settings is highly valued

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct thorough assessments and create tailored interventions for students requiring occupational therapy support
• Develop, implement, and monitor individualized education program (IEP) goals in collaboration with IEP teams
• Maintain accurate progress notes and documentation in accordance with district and state requirements
• Provide direct therapy services and consult with teachers, staff, and families to ensure coordinated support for each student
• Offer recommendations for adaptive equipment, modifications, and strategies to enhance student participation and success in school environments
• Contribute to professional development and community resources as needed
