Job Description

A full-time Occupational Therapist or Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) is needed to support K-6 students across two elementary schools in the Los Angeles area. The role is onsite with a consistent schedule, providing essential therapy services within a K-12 educational setting. This contract position offers the opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the development and success of young learners throughout the school year.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide occupational therapy services to students across two elementary schools
  • Collaborate with teachers, parents, and school staff to develop individualized therapy plans
  • Conduct evaluations and document progress in compliance with school and state guidelines
  • Support student participation in academic and daily living activities within the school environment
  • Attend team meetings and contribute to multi-disciplinary approaches for student success

Qualifications:

  • Valid California license as an Occupational Therapist (OT) or Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA)
  • Professional experience delivering OT services in a school setting
  • Strong understanding of K-6 student developmental needs and educational requirements
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills

Work Details:

  • Location: Los Angeles, CA
  • Schedule: Full-time, 7:30 AM to 4:00 PM (40 hours per week plus 30 minutes unpaid lunch)
  • Position type: Contract for the school year (NSY)
  • Caseload: K-6 students across two elementary schools
