Job Description

An occupational therapist or certified occupational therapy assistant is sought for a full-time, onsite role supporting K-6 students across two elementary schools in Long Beach, CA. This position offers an opportunity to work within a K-12 educational setting, providing specialized therapeutic services to enhance student participation and success.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver occupational therapy assessments and interventions tailored to the needs of elementary-aged students
  • Collaborate with educators and support staff to integrate therapy goals within the school environment
  • Maintain thorough documentation and progress reports in compliance with school and state requirements
  • Participate in Individualized Education Program (IEP) meetings and contribute to student educational planning

Qualifications:

  • Valid California Occupational Therapist (OT) or Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) license
  • Experience working in a school setting with children in grades K-6
  • Strong understanding of pediatric occupational therapy practices and educational frameworks

Location & Schedule:

  • Onsite work in Long Beach, CA
  • Full-time, 40 hours per week, Monday through Friday from 7:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. with a 30-minute unpaid lunch break
