Make a positive impact in the lives of elementary students as a dedicated Occupational Therapist working in a school-based setting near Joliet, IL. This onsite contract opportunity allows you to expand your expertise while supporting young learners in both resource and self-contained classrooms throughout the academic year.
Bring your skills to a collaborative educational environment, engaging with students and staff across various locations and schedules during the school week. Youll play an essential role in developing tailored OT interventions that help students reach their fullest potential.
Qualifications & Desired Experience:
- Active Illinois Occupational Therapist (OT) license required
- Previous experience in a school setting preferred
- Proficient in delivering services to elementary-age students, including resource and self-contained programs
- Excellent communication and adaptability working with a variety of staff, students, and families
- Ability to manage a dynamic caseload and float between locations as needed
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide direct occupational therapy services to elementary students according to IEP goals and district guidelines
- Conduct assessments, develop treatment plans, and document progress
- Collaborate with special education staff, teachers, and families to ensure effective therapy implementation
- Offer consultation, training, and support for staff working with students who require OT services
- Adhere to professional standards and maintain timely records

This position runs from August 17, 2026, through May 28, 2027, with a 35-hour workweek and varying hours depending on assigned locations.
