Job Description

A contract Occupational Therapist (OT) position is available to provide therapy services for students in a K-12 school setting. This role offers the opportunity to support elementary and middle school students across two campuses with a focus on delivering individualized occupational therapy interventions to enhance student participation and success.

Location: Hilton Head Island, SC
Duration: January through June (Current School Year)
Schedule: 37.5 hours per week

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct evaluations and develop occupational therapy treatment plans tailored to the unique needs of K-12 students.
  • Implement therapeutic interventions that promote fine motor skills, sensory processing, and functional independence in the school setting.
  • Collaborate closely with educators, parents, and other school staff to integrate therapeutic strategies in classroom and school activities.
  • Maintain accurate documentation and participate in team meetings to support student progress and compliance with regulatory requirements.

Desired Skills and Experience:

  • Licensed Occupational Therapist with experience working in schools or with school-aged children.
  • Strong understanding of developmental milestones and school-based OT practices.
  • Effective communication and teamwork skills to engage with multidisciplinary school personnel.
  • Ability to manage caseloads efficiently while adapting treatment plans to meet diverse student needs.
