Job Description

A full-time Occupational Therapist (OT) or Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) position is available to support K-12 students across five school sites in Hemet, CA. This contract role spans the current school year (ASAP through June) and offers a structured 40-hour workweek from 7:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. with itinerant travel compensated between sites.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver direct occupational therapy services to 102 students, with COTA support provided
  • Collaborate with educational staff to develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs)
  • Manage caseload using a structured caseload/workload model
  • Provide therapy in dedicated spaces across assigned schools
  • Attend and participate in paid team meetings and complete indirect administrative tasks as required

Qualifications and Desired Experience:

  • Valid state licensure or certification as an Occupational Therapist or Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant
  • Experience working in school-based or healthcare OT settings, preferably with K-12 populations
  • Ability to provide itinerant services and manage travel responsibilities effectively
  • Familiarity with IEP systems and willingness to participate in available training
  • Capability to work collaboratively within multidisciplinary teams and engage in administrative duties

Additional Role Details:

  • Supervision is provided by the district for CFOTAs/OTAs
  • Contractor involvement in supervision is not required
  • Supportive work environment with dedicated therapy spaces and administrative time allocated
