Job Description

Located in Gilroy, CA, this full-time, contract opportunity offers a rewarding role providing occupational therapy services within a K-12 school setting. The assignment runs from August through early December 2025, aligning with the fall semester or until the Winter Break.

Key responsibilities include delivering both direct and indirect occupational therapy services to students following a caseload model. Travel between multiple school sites will be required, as the exact number of schools assigned is to be determined. This position is strictly onsite with no current openings for Certified Occupational Therapy Assistants (COTAs).

Candidates must hold a valid California OT license and demonstrate proficiency in school-based occupational therapy practices. A commitment to working 37.5 hours per week, typically 8 hours per day with a 30-minute unpaid lunch break, is essential. Experience in home health or broader healthcare OT settings is beneficial but primary expertise in school-based OT is preferred.

Qualifications and desired experience:

  • Valid CA Occupational Therapy license required
  • Solid experience in school setting OT preferred
  • Ability to provide both direct and indirect therapy services
  • Comfortable with an itinerant role requiring travel between schools
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills with educational teams
