Job Description

An Occupational Therapist is sought for a contract position for the 2025-2026 school year in Des Plaines, IL, within a high school setting. This role requires providing specialized occupational therapy services to students in 9th through 12th grade, supporting approximately 44 students engaged in both direct instruction and general education courses.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver occupational therapy services onsite for grades 9-12.
  • Manage a caseload of about 44 students with diverse needs.
  • Provide 615 minutes per month of direct therapy and 225 minutes per semester of additional direct support.
  • Conduct 640 minutes per month of consultative services across all programming, plus 720 minutes per semester to provide additional support.
  • Collaborate with educational staff to integrate therapy goals within the academic curriculum.

Qualifications:

  • Must hold a valid Illinois Occupational Therapy license.
  • Experience working within healthcare and school settings is essential.
  • Ability to work independently and manage time effectively within a 14-15 hour per week schedule.
