Job Description

Step into an impactful role supporting students growth and development as an Occupational Therapist serving a dynamic community for the upcoming school years. This contract opportunity runs from August through June 2027 and focuses on fostering skills and independence among students across three schools, with a caseload of approximately 74 children.

As part of a collaborative teamincluding two other full-time OTs and a COTAyoull conduct assessments, provide individualized therapy, and complete evaluations for students spanning a variety of age groups. Enjoy the flexibility of integrating up to two remote workdays per week, based on caseload and discussion during the interview process.

Key Qualifications:

  • Hold an active Occupational Therapist license in Texas (OT TX)
  • Experience working in a school-based or pediatric setting preferred
  • Strong assessment, therapy planning, and documentation skills
  • Collaborative mindset and exceptional communication abilities

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Conduct comprehensive occupational therapy assessments to identify students strengths and needs
  • Develop and implement engaging therapy sessions tailored to each childs IEP and goals
  • Monitor progress and adjust interventions, maintaining detailed documentation
  • Collaborate with teachers, families, and interdisciplinary team members to support student success
  • Contribute to IEP meetings, sharing insights and recommendations
  • Travel to assigned schools as needed and manage a caseload of 74 students
