Qualifications:

  • Current and valid Alabama licensure as an Occupational Therapist
  • Previous experience with pediatric or school-aged populations, particularly in a school setting, highly preferred
  • Strong understanding of case management and ability to balance direct and indirect therapy services
  • Exceptional communication skills for working effectively with students, staff, and parents
  • Ability to remain organized and proactive in tracking student progress

Responsibilities:

  • Deliver targeted direct and indirect occupational therapy services according to IEP goals
  • Provide expert case management, monitoring student progress and updating documentation as required
  • Engage collaboratively with educators, administrators, and families to develop and implement effective interventions
  • Assess student needs, develop treatment plans, and deliver interventions to foster academic and functional success
  • Maintain compliance with state and school policies and uphold the highest standards of ethical practice
