In this role, you will:

  • Assess students needs and develop individualized treatment plans focused on promoting independence and improving functional skills within the classroom
  • Collaborate closely with teachers, families, and multidisciplinary teams to support student success and inclusion
  • Deliver both direct and consultative occupational therapy services, adapting your approach to best address each students strengths and goals
  • Document progress, maintain accurate records, and contribute to IEP meetings as a valued partner in the educational process
  • Float between school locations within the district, gaining valuable experience across a diverse student population

To thrive in this position, you should have:

  • A current Illinois Occupational Therapist (OT) License
  • Prior experience or strong interest in working in school-based OT settings
  • Skills in communication, collaboration, and creative problem-solving
  • Flexibility to support students in both resource and self-contained classrooms
