Job Description

An occupational therapist is needed to provide specialized services within a K-8 school setting in Arvada, CO. This contract position, available ASAP through the end of the school year, involves delivering therapy based on students individualized education programs (IEPs) and 504 plans. The role is onsite, part-time at approximately 20 hours per week.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Providing occupational therapy services tailored to each students needs
  • Conducting assessments of motor, sensory, and visual-motor skills
  • Collaborating closely with teachers, parents, and school staff to support student progress
  • Developing and modifying therapy interventions responsive to student development
  • Tracking student progress and maintaining thorough, accurate documentation per school and legal standards

Qualifications:

  • Valid American Occupational Therapy License required
  • Experience working within a school environment and with K-8 students highly preferred
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills to effectively collaborate with multiple stakeholders
  • Ability to organize caseload and documentation efficiently to meet deadlines
