Job Description
A K-12 School located in Arlington Heights, IL is seeking a licensed Occupational Therapist to provide specialized services for students in grades 3-5 within a self-contained Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) classroom. This contract position offers a full-time schedule of 37.5 hours per week, Monday through Friday, for the current school year (CSY).
Qualifications:
- Valid Illinois Occupational Therapist (OT) licensure
- Experience working with school-aged children, preferably in a self-contained ASD classroom
- Skill in both healthcare and school-based OT interventions
Responsibilities:
- Deliver occupational therapy services tailored to the specific needs of students with ASD
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans that support students educational goals and functional outcomes
- Collaborate with teachers, support staff, and families to ensure integrated therapeutic strategies within the classroom setting
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation in compliance with state and school policies
