Step into a rewarding role supporting the educational journey of K12 students as a school-based Occupational Therapist on a full-time, contract basis. This onsite opportunity offers the chance to make a direct impact by empowering students with a range of physical, sensory, cognitive, and emotional challenges, helping them succeed in their daily learning environments.
As the Occupational Therapist, youll collaborate closely with a single school campus, providing direct intervention to students and serving as a core member of the Special Education Team. Your expertise will help create tailored strategies, foster positive development, and ensure students receive the support they need for academic and personal growth. Youll have the opportunity to attend meetings, partner with educators, and engage with families, all while making real change happen every day.
Qualifications & Desired Experience:
- Active and valid Occupational Therapist License for the state of California
- Experience or interest in working with K12 students in a school environment
- Ability to address students diverse needs, including physical, sensory, cognitive, and emotional challenges
- Strong collaboration and communication skills for working with multidisciplinary teams, families, and staff
- Commitment to fostering an inclusive and supportive learning environment
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver direct and consultative occupational therapy services to K12 students
- Develop individualized intervention plans and document progress
- Participate in IEP meetings and work closely with the Special Education Team
- Collaborate with teachers, school staff, and parents to promote student success
- Maintain thorough and timely records in compliance with school and legal requirements
