Location: San Bernardino, CA
Hours: 40 hours per week, Grades K-12, for the 2025-2026 school year

Qualifications:

  • Certified Orientation and Mobility Specialist (COMS)
  • OI credential or OI authorization on a mild/mod or mod to severe credential
  • Experience working with K-12 students, particularly those with special needs
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to develop tailored mobility plans for students

Responsibilities:

  • Provide orientation and mobility assessments and training to students
  • Develop individualized mobility plans that address each student's unique needs
  • Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other specialists to ensure comprehensive support
  • Conduct regular progress evaluations and adjust training methods as necessary
  • Facilitate workshops and training sessions for staff on mobility best practices
  • Maintain accurate records of services provided and student progress
