A part-time Orientation and Mobility Specialist is needed to support a K-12 school setting with a flexible schedule. This position serves a caseload of students across all grade levels, providing essential orientation and mobility services to promote independence and safety for visually impaired students.

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver individualized orientation and mobility instruction to students in grades K-12
• Develop and implement assessment plans and instructional strategies tailored to student needs
• Collaborate with teachers, families, and other professionals to support student goals
• Maintain accurate records and documentation
• Assist with transition planning and skill development across various environments

Qualifications:

• Valid Michigan Orientation and Mobility Specialist (O&M) credentials are required
• Experience working with school-aged children in a K-12 setting preferred
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work independently and manage a flexible, part-time schedule
