Job Description

An opportunity is available for a qualified professional to support students with unique needs in an educational setting. This role focuses on providing specialized instruction and guidance to individuals requiring orientation and mobility services.

Responsibilities:

  • Assess and develop individualized orientation and mobility plans for students.
  • Provide direct instruction in safe and effective travel techniques.
  • Collaborate with educators, specialists, and families to facilitate student success.
  • Conduct regular evaluations and adjust mobility plans as needed.
  • Maintain accurate documentation of services provided and student progress.
  • Participate in IEP meetings and advocate for student needs within the school community.

Qualifications:

  • OI credential or authorization on mild/mod or mod to severe credential.
  • Strong understanding of orientation and mobility assessments and techniques.
  • Experience working with students in a K-12 setting.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
  • Patience and adaptability to meet the diverse needs of students.
