Job Description

A Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) or RN ASN is needed to serve as a Health Room Nurse in a school clinic setting within the Greater Tampa Bay Area. This contract assignment is full-time for the school year, providing an opportunity to independently manage the schools health clinic while working closely with the District RN Supervisor and other clinic nurses.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Administer medications accurately according to protocols
  • Conduct student triage and respond to emergencies promptly
  • Maintain detailed immunization and health records
  • Communicate effectively with parents, teachers, and school staff
  • Provide first aid and diabetic monitoring as needed
  • Collaborate with nursing team members to ensure comprehensive student care
  • Operate the health clinic independently, managing daily activities and health needs

Location: Tampa, FL (Greater Tampa Bay Area)
Duration: School Year (NSY) Contract

Qualifications:

  • Valid Florida LPN license or RN ASN credential
  • Pediatric experience preferred but not mandatory
  • Availability for full-time hours throughout the school year
