Job Description

A Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) with specialized experience in trach and vent care is needed to provide one-on-one nursing support for an elementary student in a special services setting. This contract position is based in the Renton, WA area, serving an elementary school student with tracheostomy and ventilator dependence.

This role requires a WA state LPN certification and proven expertise in trach/vent care. The position is scheduled to start as soon as possible and will continue through the end of the school year. The assignment offers approximately 30 hours per week, with potential additional hours if transportation support on the bus becomes necessary.

Key Qualifications and Experience:

  • Valid Washington State LPN license
  • Demonstrated experience providing care for trach and ventilator-dependent individuals
  • Ability to deliver compassionate, attentive one-on-one nursing care within a school environment
  • Flexibility to accommodate possible bus riding support duties, if required

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Providing individualized nursing care to an elementary student with trach/vent dependency
  • Monitoring and managing medical equipment and respiratory needs during school hours
  • Collaborating with school staff and healthcare providers to maintain a safe and supportive learning environment
  • Assisting with transportation needs if bus riding support is confirmed
