Make a meaningful impact as a school nurse, supporting a student in a warm, inclusive educational setting near Quincy, MA. This contract opportunity is ideal for a dedicated LPN or RN (ASN) who is passionate about providing specialized medical care and ensuring student safety throughout the school day. Youll work closely with a caring team of educators and support staff, fostering a nurturing environment where every student can thrive.
Qualifications:
- Active MA LPN or RN ASN license required
- Experience with tracheostomy care preferred
- Previous school nursing or pediatric experience a plus
- Strong communication and collaboration skills
- Ability to remain calm and responsive in dynamic situations
Responsibilities:
- Support a student with a trach (no current interventions required) in the classroom setting
- Provide hands-on medical monitoring and care as needed
- Collaborate with teachers and school staff to accommodate the students health needs
- Maintain accurate and confidential health records
- Ensure the safety and comfort of the student during school hours
Schedule:
- Part-time mornings, 5 days per week
- June 23 through the end of the school year: MondayFriday, 8:00am2:00pm
- Summer session July 6August 6: MondayThursday, 8:00am12:30pm
