Bring your nursing expertise to an educational setting serving students in the Greater Tampa Bay Area. Multiple contract roles are now open for experienced RNs and LPNs seeking impactful opportunities within schools. Openings include Health Room Supervisors (RN), Health Room Nurses (LPN), and 1:1 nursing care positions supporting students requiring close medical attention.
As a school-based nurse, you will be integral to promoting a safe, healthy, and supportive school environment. Youll serve as a vital resource for students health needs while collaborating closely with families and educational staff.
Qualifications & Experience Preferred:
- Current Florida LPN License, or RN ASN
- Pediatric nursing experience is beneficial but not mandatory
- Full-time availability during the school year
- Adept at communication and able to work both independently and as part of a nursing team
Key Responsibilities:
- Medication administration and oversight
- Assessing student needs, conducting triage, and responding to medical emergencies
- Diligently maintaining immunization and health records
- Providing first aid and daily health support
- Diabetic monitoring and ongoing care for students with chronic conditions
- Communicating with parents, teachers, and district health supervisors
- Independently managing the operation of a school health clinic
