Job Description

A Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN/LVN) is needed to support the health and wellness of students in a K-12 school setting in Minneapolis, MN. This contract position is ideal for a nursing professional who enjoys working in an educational environment and is dedicated to promoting student safety and well-being throughout the academic year.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide routine healthcare services, including first aid and medication administration, in accordance with school policies.
  • Monitor and assess student health needs and communicate effectively with staff, parents, and healthcare providers.
  • Assist with health plans for students with chronic conditions and respond to medical emergencies as required.
  • Maintain accurate health records and ensure compliance with regulatory standards.
  • Support health education initiatives and foster a healthy school environment.

Qualifications and Desired Experience:

  • Current and valid LPN/LVN license.
  • Experience working with children and adolescents, preferably in a school or pediatric healthcare setting.
  • Knowledge of common childhood illnesses, first aid, and emergency procedures.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate with educators and families.
  • Ability to manage multiple health cases with discretion and professionalism.
