This opportunity offers the chance to make a real difference during the summer session, with a manageable weekday schedule and a welcoming environment focused on student health and safety.
Your background in school nursing or pediatric care will be valued as you assist with daily health room duties, coordinate care across grade levels, and provide exceptional support for students and staff throughout the school. This is a Monday through Friday role, with hours from 8:00 am to 3:15 pm, running from July 6th through August 14th.
Key Qualifications:
- Active NY State Nursing License (LPN required)
- Experience in schools or similar pediatric environment preferred
- Strong assessment, communication, and record-keeping skills
- Team-oriented and adaptable approach
Role Responsibilities:
- Administer first aid, medications, and routine care for students
- Collaborate with staff to support the health needs of assigned grade levels and multiple schools as needed
- Maintain accurate health records and documentation
- Serve as a resource in the health room for students and school personnel regarding wellness and preventive care
