School Nurse Job 1:1 Registered Nurse (RN) (Full-Time)

Position Overview
We are actively hiring Registered Nurses (RN) for 1:1 school nurse positions in Gig Harbor, WA. These are full-time, in-person nursing jobs supporting K12 students throughout the school year.

Assignment Details
- Start Date: September 2
- End Date: June 4 (NSY Next School Year)
- Schedule: MondayFriday
- Hours: 32.5 37.5 hours per week
- Setting: K12 (school assignment based on need)
Key Responsibilities
- Provide 1:1 nursing care to students with medical needs
- Support students with:
- Tracheostomy (Trach) and ventilator care
- Wheelchair and mobility support
- Diabetes monitoring and management
- Seizure care and emergency response
- G-tube (feeding tube) care
- Assist with toileting and hygiene needs (required when applicable)
- Accompany students during school bus transportation if needed
- Track health status and maintain accurate documentation
- Collaborate with school staff and families to ensure student well-being
- Follow all Washington State RN standards and school health policies
Requirements
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) License Washington State (required)
- Experience in pediatrics, school nursing, or special needs care preferred
- Comfortable providing hands-on care including toileting (required)
- Ability to work independently (no supervision provided)
- Strong communication, critical thinking, and patient care skills
