Job Description

A healthcare opportunity is available for Licensed Practical Nurses (LPN), Licensed Vocational Nurses (LVN), and Registered Nurses (RN) to provide professional nursing care within K-12 school settings. This contract, per diem position is based in Eden Prairie, MN, serving schools in the Minneapolis metropolitan area. Candidates will deliver essential nursing services essential to student health and safety throughout the contracted school year.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform routine health assessments and screenings for K-12 students
  • Administer medications and treatments following prescribed care plans
  • Respond promptly to medical emergencies and health concerns in the school environment
  • Maintain accurate health records and documentation in compliance with school policies
  • Collaborate with school staff, parents, and healthcare providers to support student wellbeing
  • Provide health education and promote wellness initiatives within the school community

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Current and valid LPN/LVN or RN licensure in the state of Minnesota
  • Experience working with school-aged children or in pediatric nursing preferred
  • Knowledge of school health policies, medication administration, and emergency procedures
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently in a fast-paced school environment
  • Flexibility to work on a per diem, contract basis throughout the school year

Location: Eden Prairie, MN covering K-12 schools in the Minneapolis area
