Job Description

A full-time Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) position is available to support a high school student in Boston, MA. This contract role offers approximately 32.5 hours per week, beginning immediately and continuing through June 30, 2026. The focus is on providing specialized nursing care in a school setting.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Monitor and manage strict fluid intake and bathroom schedules.
  • Recognize and respond to signs and symptoms of dehydration and elevated sodium levels.
  • Provide care with knowledge specific to Diabetes Insipidus.
  • Collaborate with school staff to ensure the students health needs are met throughout the school day.

Qualifications:

  • Active LPN licensure in Massachusetts is required.
  • Proven experience working in school-based nursing.
  • Familiarity with protocols for managing Diabetes Insipidus and understanding related medical concerns.
  • Ability to complete required background checks including CORI and fingerprinting.
  • Strong communication skills to effectively interact with students, families, and school personnel.

Schedule and Location:

  • Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday from 8:00 AM to 3:05 PM.
  • Wednesday from 8:00 AM to 2:15 PM.
  • Onsite position at a high school in Boston, MA.

This position will include a virtual interview via Zoom to facilitate candidate screening.
