Job Description

A full-time Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) position is available for a school-based role in Boston, MA, covering a full school year contract. This opportunity involves providing dedicated nursing care and support for students with a 1:1 caseload, ensuring their health and well-being throughout daily activities and school hours.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver daily nursing care, including medication administration, emergency response, and health screenings aligned with individualized education plans (IEPs) and individual health plans (IHPs).
  • Serve as the primary caregiver for an assigned 1:1 student during school, transportation, and related school activities.
  • Maintain accurate documentation of all medical interventions and facilitate clear communication with staff, families, and the nursing team.
  • Support the campus nurses office when the assigned student is absent.
  • Maintain current licensure and adhere to professional and ethical nursing standards.
  • Ensure a safe and healthy environment for students at all times.

Qualifications and Desired Experience:

  • Valid MA Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license.
  • Experience working in school settings preferred.
  • Ability to handle emergency situations calmly and efficiently.
  • Strong communication skills for coordination with multidisciplinary teams and families.
  • Commitment to student safety and professional nursing ethics.
