An opportunity is available for a General Education Teacher specializing in Middle School Mathematics, with a focus on Algebra for 8th grade students. This full-semester contract position is based in Springfield, MA, providing a rewarding chance to contribute to the academic growth and success of middle school learners.

Responsibilities:

• Deliver engaging and effective Algebra instruction aligned with middle school math standards.
• Develop lesson plans that meet diverse student needs and promote critical thinking.
• Assess student progress regularly and provide constructive feedback.
• Collaborate with fellow educators and participate in virtual panel interviews as part of the hiring process.
• Maintain compliance with district policies including onboarding and fingerprinting requirements.

Qualifications:

• Valid Massachusetts MTEL certification in Middle School Mathematics.
• Proven experience teaching 8th-grade algebra or general math concepts.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to adapt lessons to various learning styles.
• Comfortable working within a structured virtual interview and hiring process.

Location & Schedule:

• Position located at a middle school in Springfield, MA.
• Full-time, 37.5 hours per week.
• Contract duration from January 6, 2026, through the end of the school year.
