An educational opportunity is available for a dedicated 5th-grade ELA teacher to contribute expertise in a K-12 general education setting. This contract position spans the current school year and offers full-time hours, working with two 5th-grade classes in Machesney Park, IL.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver engaging English Language Arts instruction tailored to 5th-grade students
- Develop and implement lesson plans aligned with curriculum standards
- Monitor and assess student progress, providing timely feedback and support
- Collaborate with colleagues and participate in professional development activities
- Maintain a positive and inclusive classroom environment conducive to learning
Qualifications:
- Valid Illinois Professional Educator License (PEL) with an endorsement in elementary education
- Experience teaching general education ELA at the upper elementary level preferred
