This full-time Kindergarten teaching position offers the opportunity to educate young learners in an elementary school setting located in Charleston, South Carolina. The role is initially a contract-to-hire assignment for the current school year (CSY), providing a pathway to permanent employment based on performance and fit.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver developmentally appropriate instruction aligned with elementary curriculum standards
- Foster a positive, inclusive classroom environment promoting student engagement and growth
- Design and implement lesson plans that meet diverse learner needs in kindergarten
- Collaborate with colleagues, parents, and school staff to support student success
- Assess and monitor student progress, providing feedback and interventions as necessary
- Maintain accurate records and uphold school policies and procedures
Qualifications and Desired Experience:
- Active South Carolina teaching certification in Elementary Education or equivalent
- Prior experience teaching in a school setting, particularly at the elementary level
- Strong knowledge of kindergarten curriculum and instructional strategies
- Excellent classroom management and communication skills
- Ability to work effectively with students, families, and educational teams
