A Middle School Mathematics teaching opportunity is available for a full semester contract, specializing in 8th-grade Algebra. This role is based in Amherst, MA, and is ideal for educators certified in Massachusetts with experience in general education and math instruction.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver 8th-grade Algebra lessons aligned with curriculum standards.
- Engage and support middle school students to foster understanding and enthusiasm for mathematics.
- Collaborate with school staff and participate in virtual team meetings.
- Maintain accurate records of student progress and communicate with stakeholders as needed.
Qualifications:
- Valid Massachusetts MTEL certification in Middle School Mathematics.
- Proven experience teaching math at the middle school level, specifically Algebra.
- Strong classroom management and instructional skills.
- Comfortable participating in virtual interviews and onboarding processes.
Location:
- Amherst, MA (Middle School setting)
Employment Details:
- Full semester contract beginning January 6, 2026, through the end of the school year.
- Approximately 37.5 hours per week.
