A K-12 educational diagnostician opportunity is available in Waterflow, NM, providing essential support to multiple school sites within the area. This contracted, full-time role (37.5 hours per week) is focused on delivering comprehensive evaluations and contributing to the development of effective educational interventions. The position is designed for the contractual school year, beginning May 29, 2026.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct thorough evaluations and re-evaluations to identify student exceptionalities
- Prepare detailed diagnostic reports that summarize pre-diagnostic information, test results, student strengths and weaknesses, and recommend appropriate interventions
- Complete a minimum of 65 evaluations annually
- Manage inventory and resources including supplies, materials, and equipment
- Participate actively in Individualized Educational Plan (IEP) meetings, parent and teacher conferences, and in-service training sessions
Qualifications and Experience:
- Masters Degree in a relevant field
- Valid NMPED Educational Diagnostician license, K-12 (License 900)
- National Board Certification for Educational Diagnosticians preferred
- Strong ability to conduct thorough assessments and communicate findings effectively
- Experience working within K-12 educational environments
