Job Description

A K-12 educational diagnostician role is available in Shiprock, NM, supporting multiple schools within the district. This contract position spans the current school year and involves a 37.5-hour workweek. Successful candidates will conduct comprehensive evaluations and re-evaluations to identify student exceptionality, prepare detailed diagnostic reports, and actively participate in IEP meetings and conferences.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct and complete a minimum of 65 evaluations per school year, assessing student strengths, weaknesses, and necessary interventions.
  • Prepare thorough diagnostic reports summarizing pre-diagnostic information, test results, and recommended interventions.
  • Manage educational resources, including the inventory of supplies, materials, and equipment.
  • Participate in IEP meetings, parent and teacher conferences, and ongoing professional development sessions.

Qualifications:

  • Masters Degree in an appropriate field.
  • Valid New Mexico Public Education Department (NMPED) Educational Diagnostician, K-12 license (900).
  • National Board Certification for Educational Diagnostician preferred.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate with educators, parents, and administrators.
  • Experience working in K-12 educational environments is highly desirable.

Location: Shiprock, NM (onsite at multiple school sites)
