Job Description

A K-12 school located in Newcomb, NM is seeking two experienced Educational Diagnosticians to join their team on a contract basis for the current school year. This onsite position involves working within a supportive educational environment, providing crucial diagnostic services to students across multiple school sites.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct comprehensive evaluations and re-evaluations to determine student exceptionality.
  • Prepare detailed diagnostic reports, including summaries of pre-diagnostic information, test results, student strengths and weaknesses, and recommendations for appropriate interventions.
  • Complete a minimum of 65 evaluations per school year.
  • Manage inventory and resources, including supplies, materials, and equipment.
  • Participate actively in Individualized Educational Plan (IEP) meetings, parent and teacher conferences, and in-service training sessions.

Qualifications:

  • Masters Degree in a relevant field.
  • Valid New Mexico Public Education Department (NMPED) Educational Diagnostician, K-12 license (900).
  • National Board Certification for Educational Diagnostician is required.
  • Strong organizational and communication skills to manage caseload and collaborate effectively with educators, parents, and students.

Hours and Location:

  • 37.5 hours per week.
  • Onsite position based in Newcomb, NM, servicing multiple school sites.
