Job Description

Support students academic success in a full-time Educational Diagnostician role serving K-12 populations in Los Lunas, NM. This position offers a contract for the upcoming school year, providing an opportunity to make a meaningful impact within a dynamic educational environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct comprehensive evaluations of students to identify learning disabilities and other educational needs.
  • Interpret assessment data to develop eligibility determinations and appropriate educational plans.
  • Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other specialists to design and implement individualized education programs (IEPs).
  • Monitor student progress and recommend modifications to interventions as needed.
  • Maintain detailed documentation and comply with state and federal laws regarding special education services.

Qualifications:

  • Valid Educational Diagnostician certification/license as required by New Mexico regulations.
  • Proven experience in conducting psychoeducational assessments in a K-12 setting.
  • Strong knowledge of educational assessment tools, federal and state special education laws, and individualized education planning.
  • Excellent communication skills for working effectively with diverse teams and families.
  • Ability to manage caseload and prioritize tasks within a contract-based school year framework.
