This contract position offers an enriching experience for professionals passionate about educational assessment and advocacy, serving between two school sites and working closely with K-12 students and multidisciplinary teams.
Position Highlights:
- Full-time hours: 35 hours per week, 7 hours daily following the school calendar
- On-site onlyremote options are not available for this role
- Spanish and English fluency required, with a focus on effective communication in both languages
Key Qualifications:
- Masters degree in education or a related field
- Valid Texas classroom teaching certificate
- Three years of full-time classroom teaching experience
- State certification exam completion for educational diagnosticians
- Demonstrated experience in a school setting evaluating and supporting diverse learners
- Must successfully complete fingerprinting and time-sensitive credentialing steps
Essential Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive educational assessments for students, including bilingual evaluations
- Develop, interpret, and present thorough written reports for team meetings
- Participate actively in ARD/IEP meetings, collaborating with teachers, parents, and specialists
- Travel between two district schools to serve a diverse caseload of students, focusing on identifying educational strengths and needs
- Maintain accurate, timely records in accordance with district and legal guidelines
