Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Deaf / Hard of Hearing (DHH) Specialist to provide specialized support to 5th-grade students in a school near Pickerington, OH. This part-time, onsite position offers an opportunity to make a meaningful impact on students educational experiences with a focused caseload and a supportive environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver tailored instruction and support to 5th-grade students who are deaf or hard of hearing.
  • Collaborate with classroom teachers, families, and support staff to develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs).
  • Utilize specialized communication methods and adaptive technologies to enhance learning.
  • Monitor student progress and adjust teaching strategies to meet diverse needs.
  • Maintain accurate records and documentation as required by school policies.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Valid Ohio Educator License with a Hearing Impaired endorsement (please include your license details in the application).
  • Experience working with deaf or hard of hearing students in an educational setting.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills.

Position Details:

  • Part-time: Approximately 80 minutes per month, onsite
