This full-time contract opportunity is based onsite, providing vital services within a single school for the academic year. As a specialist, you will play an important part in fostering an inclusive and supportive learning environment.
Youll be actively involved in delivering TDHH (Teacher of the Deaf and Hard of Hearing) services to students, completing compensatory services, offering consultation, and providing direct instructional support. Your expertise will help remove learning barriers and empower students to reach their academic and social potential.
Qualifications and Desired Experience:
- Valid Teacher of the Deaf and Hard of Hearing (TDHH) license for California
- CA Pupil Personnel Services (PPS) Credential
- Experience working with students who are Deaf or Hard of Hearing preferred
- Ability to collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary educational teams
- Strong communication and organizational skills
Role Responsibilities:
- Deliver individualized and group TDHH services as outlined in student IEPs
- Consult with teachers, staff, and families to support student success and accessibility
- Conduct assessments and help develop educational plans tailored to each students needs
- Track progress and maintain thorough, timely documentation
- Support students social-emotional and academic development through specialized strategies
