A full-time opportunity is available for a Teacher specializing in Deaf and Hard of Hearing services in an elementary school setting near Bristol, Illinois. This contract position spans the school year and requires onsite presence.
Key responsibilities include:
- Delivering specialized instruction tailored to students who are deaf or hard of hearing
- Collaborating with classroom teachers and support staff to create inclusive learning environments
- Assessing student progress and adapting teaching strategies to meet individual needs
- Utilizing Illinois state standards for students with hearing impairments to guide lesson planning
Qualifications:
- Valid Teacher of the Deaf and Hard of Hearing (TDHH) certification in Illinois
- Experience working with deaf and hard of hearing students in an educational setting
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to engage students, families, and staff
