This opportunity is for a licensed Teacher specializing in Deaf and Hard of Hearing services to support an elementary school setting. The position is full-time, onsite near Bristol, IL, and offers a contract for the upcoming school year.
Responsibilities include delivering specialized instruction and support to students who are deaf or hard of hearing. The ideal candidate will collaborate with classroom teachers and staff to create inclusive learning environments tailored to individual student needs. You will assess student progress and adapt teaching strategies to promote academic and social development.
Qualifications:
- Valid Teacher of the Deaf and Hard of Hearing (TDHH) certification in Illinois
- Experience working with elementary-level students who are deaf or hard of hearing
- Strong understanding of individualized education plans (IEPs) and specialized communication strategies
- Ability to work collaboratively with educators, families, and related service providers
- Commitment to fostering an inclusive and supportive learning environment
