Job Description

This position seeks a Deaf / Hard of Hearing Specialist to support 5th grade students near Pickerington, OH. The role is part-time, requiring approximately 80 minutes onsite per month, with a start date as soon as possible through May 22, 2026.

Responsibilities include:

  • Providing specialized instruction and support to 5th grade students who are deaf or hard of hearing
  • Collaborating with school staff to implement individualized education plans (IEPs)
  • Monitoring student progress and adapting teaching methods as needed
  • Maintaining a productive and accessible learning environment in compliance with relevant regulations

Qualifications:

  • Valid Ohio Educator license with a Hearing Impaired endorsement (license must be presented)
  • Experience teaching or supporting deaf/hard of hearing students, preferably in a K-12 setting
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills
  • Ability to work independently and manage a caseload effectively

Location:

  • Near Pickerington, Ohio, working onsite at the school
