Job Description
Make a lasting impact supporting students across multiple campuses as a dedicated Counselor in the Willis area. This rewarding contract opportunity spans from August 12, 2025, through May 21, 2027, with a manageable part-time schedule of 16 hours per week. You'll primarily work with a diverse caseload of approximately 30 elementary and middle school students, engaging across five campuses to provide much-needed guidance and mental health support.
Qualifications:
- Active and valid LPC license in the state of Texas
- Previous experience as a school counselor or mental health practitioner in an educational setting preferred
- Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively across multiple school sites
- Passion for fostering student well-being in diverse learning environments
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver direct counseling services to students from elementary through middle school
- Collaborate with school staff and families to support students emotional growth and social development
- Assess the social and emotional needs of students and provide intervention strategies as needed
- Manage documentation and maintain confidentiality in accordance with district and state policies
- Serve as a resource and advocate for students navigating academic, social, and personal challenges
- Adapt services to meet the needs of various campuses and student populations
