A full-time School Counselor position is available at an elementary school in San Francisco, CA, for the 20252026 school year contract, running from January 6 to May 30, 2026. This role involves providing counseling services to elementary-aged students, working closely within a supportive school environment with a manageable caseload of one school.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver school counseling services to elementary students, addressing their social, emotional, and academic needs
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and school staff to develop and implement student support plans
- Facilitate individual and group counseling sessions
- Assist in crisis intervention and conflict resolution as needed
- Maintain accurate and confidential student records in compliance with district policies
Qualifications:
- Valid PPS (Pupil Personnel Services) credential in School Counseling is required
- Experience working within an elementary school setting preferred
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively engage with students, families, and staff
- Ability to conduct sessions and collaborate both onsite and remotely as preferred by the district
Work Details:
- Location: San Francisco, CA (elementary school)
- Hours: Full-time, 40 hours per week
- Contract duration: January 6, 2026 May 30, 2026
- Supervision provided by district personnel as appropriate
- Onsite interview preferred; remote interviews are also accommodated
