Key Qualifications & Requirements:

• Active Texas Counselor certification
• Background in school counseling, with experience in the K-12 setting preferred
• Strong interpersonal skills, empathy, and the ability to connect with diverse students and staff
• Organizational abilities to manage caseloads, documentation, and multiple priorities
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal

Primary Responsibilities:

• Provide academic, emotional, and social guidance for students in grades K-12
• Implement intervention strategies and conflict resolution techniques tailored to students needs
• Coordinate with faculty, staff, and parents to address student challenges and support student growth
• Develop and present counseling programs and workshops that promote positive mental health
• Maintain confidential records and accurate documentation in accordance with district and state guidelines
• Participate in meetings and contribute to developing comprehensive support systems
